Hand signal:  one finger up (telling off position but not wagging)

Verbal cue:  leeeave it

Treats: small chicken bit at end of meal

Distance: 2″ sitting at my feet

Duration: ignored then moved away then settled laying down ate carrot for duration of meal really good!

Distraction: high, eating chicken dinner off lap next to him at his eye line

**next time say leave it before he goes to sniff the plate

Verbal cue: only leave it

Treats: reward given after left item from other hand, never gets the treat been asked to leave

Distance: HVT in open hand, leaves 4″ from face. HVT dropped on floor, will leave after command (pulls funny mouth when trying to resist) from 6″, if almost below snout can dart to gobble up

Duration: hand 10 sec (will choose to move or look away usually),  floor 4-5sec before starts seeming anxious about resisiting

Distraction: other dogs and people in room
